Astley Community High School is an 11 to 18 comprehensive school maintained by Northumberland local educational authority. The school has excellent facilities with specialist suited teaching rooms, sports hall and gym. A wide range of extra-curricular activities are offered at lunchtime and after-school. These include theatre and gallery visits, kielder activity weekends, skiing trips to Voss in Norway, and history trips to London, Paris and Eden Camp. The school aims to provide a learning environment in which the school facilitate the best possible variety of opportunities and challenges to enable all to achieve their potential.
