Background:
Cramlington Community High School is a large, community comprehensive for students aged 13-18 years mainly serving Cramlington. All the classrooms have an interactive whiteboard, which are the most up to date technology for teaching and learning. The ICT facilities are extensive with over 500 computers linked to the internet with broadband connection. All students take part in intensive study weeks in the autumn and summer terms. It reorganises the curriculum to allow larger blocks of teaching time and students have an opportunity to study for longer periods and in greater depth. The school boasts two sports hall, a gym fitted with the latest weight and aerobic equipment, a dance studio and outside a huge floodlit synthetic pitch, hard court areas for tennis and netball, and cricket nets. The school is based on the values of truth, honesty, fairness and respect for each person.
