Coquet High school is an engineering specialist school, but it prides itself in providing a broad and balanced curriculum that is relevant to all students. It offers opportunity to students out of the classroom to join clubs and take part in community activities including the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme and Millennium Volunteers. The school believes that learning to be a part of a team is important and so it teaches team games such as football, rugby, netball and cricket. It offers excellent facilities in the sports hall to enable students to play badminton, basket and volleyball. The school enable all students to follow a course in gymnastics. The school arranges team and house as well as inter-school matches and holds annual sport competitions.
